On July 9, 2023, a team was set up by Schinkels Technik to do a UAT for E-Claims to our clients at Gelang Patah. The UAT is divided into two sessions. The first session was conducted by Schinkels Support Mr Hisyam Darwis. Meanwhile, the second session was performed by our Software Tester Mr Farhan Yassin.

The Module Test Script prepared by Mr Hisyam provides a comprehensive, step-by-step guide on how to use, access, and navigate the E-Claims system. Mr Hisyam meticulously tested and scripted this module using an appropriate methodology. The evaluation of the module involved seven individuals from clients: five Contract Executives and two IT Board Management members. The UAT for the Module Test Script was successfully executed, with all UAT questions and steps passing the assessment.

Mr Hisyam delivered the script and present how it works together with Mr Farhan Yassin. The practice session went smoothly with no significant mistakes or glitches encountered. Following that, clients gave users feedback and inquired about their opinions. These will be answered and put together in the FAQ section.

The Calculation and Data Test Script involves various calculations and data collected from reliable sources. It was combined into a comprehensive clients E- Claims website. Mr Farhan conducted thorough testing of this module using complex calculations and testing methods. The module provides detailed information on specific formulas like MT (metric ton) and M² (meter square). Mr Farhan delivered and demonstrated the script, with assistance from Mr Hisyam.

Unfortunately, the User Acceptance Test (UAT) for this module did not produce satisfactory results. They mutually agreed to rectify the errors and bugs identified in the User Acceptance Report (UAR) and the system. While clients expressed satisfaction with the accuracy of the data and calculations, they were less satisfied with the user interface (UI). Schinkels is responsible for resolving these issues and improving the module within an agreed-upon timeframe.

What is User Acceptance Test (UAT)?

User Acceptance Test (UAT) is an important step in the software development process. It checks if the software meets the needs and expectations of the people who will be using it. This means making sure the software works well, is easy to use, and performs well for the person using it.

UAT is the last round of testing that happens before the software is made available to the public. This means trying out the software in real situations to make sure it works like it should, meets the goals, and meets what the user wants. UAT is usually done by users or a group of users who test if the software is good for their tasks.

To have a successful user acceptance testing, Schinkels Technik focused on to plan well, work together effectively, and prioritize the needs of the users. By making UAT a priority in the software development process, organizations can improve the likelihood of creating and delivering a software solution that is successful and easy for users to navigate.
